Fun Fair Volunteers Needed!

The legendary Irving Fun Fair is coming up on Feb. 23, and we need your help to make it happen! Please consider volunteering for a one- or two-hour time slot, before, during, or after the event. Irving alums are especially welcome, so get your OPRF and Julian students to help out as well! See you on the 23rd!

“Food Patriots” Movie Screening at Irving next week Tuesday, 2/12

Dear SEOPCO Community,

SEOPCO is partnering with Green Community Connections to bring a free screening of the movie “Food Patriots” to Irving (1125 S. Cuyler) on Tuesday, 2/12 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m..  Join Chicago-based filmmaker, Jeff Spitz, to view and discuss his new film, food, and the future of America’s health, environment and jobs. Touched by his son’s struggle with food-borne illness, Jeff weaves his family’s story into a narrative we can all understand. (70-minute rough cut)  Great opportunity for the whole family to learn more about food production in our own backyards, our own schoolyards, our own community.
Attached is a poster with the key information.  Please forward to any friends or organizations that might be interested in joining us.
Hope to see many of you there!
