It’s time to get the Irving Garden growing and we need your help!
Here’s Denise Frank explaining how it works. Sign-up Genius link is below. We will follow up with you with specifics after you sign up for a task. You can sign up for more than one if you want.
It’s divided up by garden bed and each garden bed connects with a book that the plants will be themed on. Watch the video for ALL the details. You do not need to know about gardening (honestly I am still learning a lot too) the team will coach you and let you know what needs to be done. We will also practice safe social distancing.
Here’s Denise to explain how it all works….
Let us know if you have any questions. We will add more slots for watering and weeding later in the summer also and depending on what happens in the Fall we will adjust then too.
Oak Park Public Library Summer Reading: OPPL Summer Reading is Virtual this summer! Take a look at the promotional video from the OPPL staff. You can still earn beads by reading lots of great things! Registration starts June 1st and goes through August. Enjoy!
Morning Irving! Just a reminder:
District 97 will continue to hold meal distributions every Monday, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Longfellow Elementary School (for Julian and feeder schools), 715 S. Each student will receive breakfast and lunch items for five days.
These distributions will continue through Monday, June 29.
If you have any questions, please contact our food service coordinator, Carla Ellis, at email@example.com.
(And if you need any pickup help, let me or anyone on PTO know and we’ll arrange drop off for you – please stay safe!).
IF YOU PURCHASED A YEARBOOK ONLINE:
We’d like to drop it off next week to you (most likely Wednesday or Thursday).
Please fill out this brief form
so we can know where to drop off (and your # to let you know we are on our way) OR if you need to pick it up from either Alison or Alicia.
The drop off will be done by members of the PTO and friends and be contact free and we’ll have masks!
THANK YOU for buying and yearbook, and filling this out by Monday 🙂
