Please help Irving Elementary fight food insecurity in our community! Our school has been assigned to fill the fridges EVERY day from Sunday 1/16 to Saturday 1/22, so on days when school is not in session, please bring any items you can spare directly to the community fridges at Carnival Foods (824 S. Oak Park Ave) or in the Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church Parking Lot (405 S. Euclid). Due to the very cold weather, canned goods have been freezing and bursting, so the organizers are asking us to please only bring non-canned food items at this time. Thank you for your help in supporting our community!

District 97 is proud to announce our first school garden tour taking place on Saturday, August 18th from 10:00am to 1:00pm!
Featuring nine of our ten school gardens (Holmes is currently under construction), you will amazed by the efforts of our students, teachers, and parent volunteers. From outdoor classrooms to themed beds and from bug hotels to birdhouses, each garden is as unique as the students who planted them. Enhanced by student-created totems, sculptures, and murals, these gardens are a delight to the senses.
Free and open to all, simply download the tour guide and take the whole family on a journey of discovery to Oak Park’s public school gardens where learning happens beyond the classroom.
