Tasty Dog Fundraiser for Irving is Wednesday, March 21

Volunteer opportunity!

The Tasty Dog Fundraiser for Irving is Wednesday, March 21, and we need a volunteer to get the word out to Irving families when the date gets closer.

For those who don’t know: Every year TD holds a fundraiser for D97 schools where each school gets a day, and a percentage of the profits that day go to the school’s PTO. There is also a raffle, in which the tickets are $1 each and the Irving PTO gets to keep *all* of the money.

Last year, we raised nearly $600 from food purchases that day, and another $600+ from raffle tickets. A few Irving families won prizes too! The fundraiser is for the whole day, but most Irving families showed up for dinner and it was a really fun evening.

Duties include sending flyers home with students and posting them on the school doors, getting messages into the Irving Update and other email communications, and coordinating raffle ticket sales. I did this fundraiser last year so I can email you my files, so it shouldn’t be a lot of work–especially compared to the amount of money we can raise!

If you’d like to help out the school by overseeing the Tasty Dog Fundraiser on March 21, please let me know.

Thanks!  Julie Chyna <chyna823@gmail.com>

Fun Fair Committee needs items for Bingo Prizes.

House Cleaning?

The Fun Fair Committee is looking for new items to be used for Bingo Prizes. Small Items such as fast food toys, party favors, noise makers, promotional items, small books/coloring books, new items laying around the house that are not being used by your children would be perfect Bingo Prizes. If you are unsure about a specific item or have items to donate – send me an email or call me. Also if you have, or know someone that has a business that would like to donate a prize for the Raffle or Grand Prize drawing, we are looking for those items as well.

Anything from small to large electronics items to Gift Certificates would be tremendous and they will receive heaps of exposure and gratitude from the Irving School Family.

Dancin’ for Desserts

Just a reminder that Fun Fair’s Dancin’ for Desserts needs more desserts. This fun event relies on many desserts to be successful. You can start bringing your desserts at 8 am in the community room on Saturday, 2/25. Thanks!

Dancin’ for Desserts is one of the most popular events at Irving’s Fun Fair, which is held on February 25.   This fun game is made successful by many dessert donations.  Please sign up to donate some cake, cookies, brownies, desserts, etc. (all need to be nut free)

Please fill out the form.  Note: You will not get your serving tray back .  You can drop off desserts starting at 8 am in the Community Room on Feb. 25th.
