We are continuing to monitor the latest updates regarding coronavirus (COVID-19), and we have been taking proactive steps as a district and school community to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff. District 97 is also working closely with community partners, and has been following recommendations from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for school districts that do not have a confirmed case of coronavirus in their community.

 Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel the 4th/5th grade Spring Sing, all Eagle Extra classes, Girl Scout events, Inclusive Playdates, WORM Club, World Language Classes, CastJR, Title One Breakfast, PTO and DivInc meetings and all field trips starting Thursday March 12th until further notice.  If students have an Eagle Extra class Thursday and a guardian is unable to pick them up today until 4:15, childcare will be available. Please be patient while the PTO Eagle Extra and World Language coordinators work with us to determine if classes can resume.  

 All District 97 schools are suspending field trips and large events until further notice in order to minimize the risk to students, families and staff. 

 The health and safety of our school community is our highest priority. The information we are receiving about coronavirus is changing rapidly, and we will work with the district to share updates in a timely manner.
