Taking the Stress Out of Homework!
Are you in a power struggle with your child over homework, leaving you frustrated and confused about how best to help? Would you like to find a positive and effective approach?
Join Dr. Carla Beatrici, Psy.D., and Ilinka Novakovic, LCSW, of Smart Love Family Services to learn concepts and strategies to enable you to effectively help your children with homework.
Parents will learn:
- A helpful mindset when approaching homework problems
- Common reasons children struggle with homework
- Effective ways to promote positive communication, coping and self-esteem
- How to be an ally rather than an enforcer
- How to help your child develop time management/organizational skills
Parents will also learn the signs when outside help is needed and about available resources in the community.
