Don’t Forget! Add Our Calendar!

We are adding things to our Google Calendar daily, to help keep track of all of the great things going on. You’ll see short term volunteer opportunities such as Pacers and open to all activities like the Garden Club and all of our DIVINC events too!

AND To add to your own Google calendar:

  1. On your computer (does not work on mobile app!), open Google Calendar.
  2. On the left, next to “Other calendars,” click Add  Addand then From URL.
  3. Enter the calendar’s address in the field provided.

Note: It might take up to 12 hours for changes to show in your Google Calendar.

Note: We recommend those scheduling events install a subscription to a religious holiday calendar into their Google calendar. Yale University publishes through their chaplain’s office. You can find the link with instructions here: https://chaplain.yale.edu/subscription-religious-holidays-calendar

Irving Elementary Gender Inclusion Initiative

Our goal is to support families with transgender and gender-expansive children (children who do not feel like they are the gender they were assigned at birth, who do not want to dress or act in ways that are typical with their assigned gender) and promote a culture shift at Irving towards gender inclusiveness.

With the administration’s and Diversity and Inclusion Committee’s support, Irving
Elementary School is partnering with LGBTQ+ equity organizations to create a
more inclusive community.

If you would like to be a part of this initiative, or have any comments or questions,

Details on the training included below, and in our calendar as well for both 10/8 session and the 11/5 session.  Parent/caregiver trainings are located in the school auditorium. Childcare provided. Attendees are encouraged, though not required, to attend both sessions. Please RSVP here.
