A few looking ahead to next week items to highlight:

Our 2nd Virtual PTO Meeting will be on Thursday, May 7th at 7 pm.
The main meeting follows the Executive Board meeting at 6:30 pm. We will be announcing the nominations for Board positions for the 2020-21 School Year (still accepting nominations!), continuing our discussion of how to support our Irving community, and how to honor our 5th graders, our retiring teachers and all of the year end activities. Please join us on Zoom. Details to join the call will be on our website and sent out in the Principal’s Update on Friday! We are all the PTO and we need you to join. There are many different ways to be involved!

Meal Distribution and Support
Reminder – Every Monday from 10:30-1:00 you can pick up a bag of breakfast and lunch items for each kid from Longfellow. The wonderful women running it have masks and gloves, and everything follows social distancing (only 1 person allowed at a time).
If you are unable to pick up the items yourself, please PM me (Alison Price – tiggerap2000@gmail.com) or let anyone on the PTO know and we’ll arrange pick up for you (I’ll have mask and gloves for contact free drop off!

  • Virtual Dance Party Friday 4/17 12:00 – Details here! .
  • Meal Distributions for Breakfast and Lunch are 10:30-1:00 Mondays at Longfellow, for any student who needs it. If you are unable to pick up at this time, please reach out to Irving Staff or communications@irvingpto.com. Someone will be happy to help you as best we can.

 

Yearbook Sales

A few things to note:

  • Yearbooks are $20 each.
  • Each 5th grader will receive their own yearbook, compliments of the PTO (siblings will need to purchase their own).
  • Yearbooks will be distributed to students toward the end of the school year.
