Legacy Sports
Still looking for summer camps? Coach Dan of Legacy Sports is holding a charity contest. The school with the most students enrolled will receive $300 to their respective PTO’s and $600 donated to a charity of their choice in their school’s name! Weekly food drives will also be held. Legacy Sports has been an extremely popular class in our Eagle Extras programs and summer camps are filling fast! Soccer, field hockey, t-ball, multi-spots madness and Legacy olympiad are all included.
PTO Meeting Agenda for May
We hope you can join us for the May PTO meeting, which is this week on Thursday, May 3, at 6:30 in the Media Center/Library. As always, free childcare is provided.
Final nominations for officers of next year’s PTO Executive Board will be accepted up until the time of the vote at this meeting. Current nominations are:

This month the PTO meeting includes a presentation by the Oak Park Arts District (OPAD) Summer Arts Camps on what programs they offer. We will do a short update on the main activities coming up for the end of school. We will vote on limited changes to the PTO By-Laws, with an eye toward more changes in the future. You can review those changes here (in the Documents section of the PTO website).
Note: We have added one more PTO general meeting to the calendar this year. That will be on Thursday, May 31, at 6:30pm.

Eagles Extras – Fitness and Fun while on the Run*
Taught by Mr. Gray and Mr. N. Sakellaris
*This class is for boys in grades 3-5
Description: Students will begin every class with a mile and a half run accompanied by Irving staff. After the run, students will come back to work on stretching and flexibility. For the remainder of each session, students will play a competitive team-building game emphasizing the development of teamwork and sportsmanship. Class will be held outdoors rain or shine. Minimum/maximum class size: 8/15. Course is 7 weeks. Students will receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and medal for participating.
Class meets Tuesdays 3:00-4:15

Classes are filling quickly. If you are considering registering for Mad Science K-2 or Legacy Olympiad, space is limited….register as soon as possible before these classes are full.
The following classes have not hit minimum enrollment and are in jeopardy of cancelation:

Legacy Hoops needs 3 students
