Web store Back Online
The vendor that operates our Web store contacted us this morning to let us know that the problems we experienced last week have been fixed. The company apologized for any inconvenience the outage caused, and assured us that nobody’s data/information was compromised. District 97 Climate Survey
Reminder – The deadline for completing the district’s 2011-2012 parent/guardian and staff climate surveys is Friday, April 27, 2012. Parents/guardians can access their version of the survey by clicking here, while staff members can access their version by clicking here.
 
District 97 Kindergarten Registration
The district’s next two kindergarten registration sessions will take place on April 25 and 26. These will be the final two sessions that are held prior to the kindergarten orientation at each of the elementary schools on May 2. Please click here for additional information about registration.

Those Who Excel Awards

Congratulations to Mr. Frank DiPaulo, building engineer extraordinaire, for being nominated by District 97 to receive a Those Who Excel Award! This is a state-wide award, signifying excellence among all staff who support our schools. The final awards will be announced in October, so in the meantime give Mr. DiPaulo (a.k.a. Elvis, a.k.a. Michael Jackson) a hearty “thank-you” for everything he does above and beyond the call of duty. Parents/guardians and district staff will discuss important issues related to curriculum and instruction, leadership and culture.

They will also talk about how they can work together to develop a more clearly defined middle school philosophy and system of best practices that will enhance the educational experience for our students and build a better tomorrow for our schools.

Your completion of this survey will help highlight our strengths, as well as identify areas for improvement. It will also provide valuable feedback that will help us better meet the needs of the families we serve.
Parents/guardians can access their version of the survey by clicking here, while staff members can access their version by clicking herePlease take the time to read the introduction on the first page. It features important information regarding the survey options that are available (short form versus long form), as well as details about submitting comments and offering input on multiple buildings. Community Chat about New Julian Principal

The Julian PTO would like to extend an invitation to all of its feeder schools to attend the upcoming Community Chat with Dr. Roberts on Thursday, January 26th at 7pm in the auditorium. Dr. Roberts will be addressing the Julian parent community about the new principal search for Julian. Dr. Roberts will be discussing the timeline and process involved with hiring a new principal and will be speaking about qualities and characteristics that the candidate should possess.

Please pass this information on to your school community and encourage them to attend.
