Then what?    Drop them off, Saturday, March 10th from 11AM-1PM,  THE ANIMAL CARE LEAGUE, 1011 Garfield Ave.   Drop off your treats in Ziploc bags and we will do the rest!

Special treat! Join us at 10AM for a tour of THE ANIMAL CARE LEAGUE!  Please RSVP to chloe@neighborhoodgivingproject.org  The animals would love to see you there!

What else?

Dog Treat Sale!  Sunday, March 11th,  1-3 PM, Scoville Park (outside the Oak Park Main Library)

Tell your friends and neighbors to come purchase the delicious treats you made for their dogs. All proceeds go to The ANIMAL CARE LEAGUE.

We hope you have fun with this project and enjoy time in the kitchen with your children. Use this opportunity to talk to them about why you are baking to help the homeless animals, and inspire them to think of their own ideas about how to give back to their neighborhood and community.

Visit http://www.animalcareleague.org for more ways you can help, and http://www.neighborhoodgivingproject.org to learn more about our projects. Kids making a difference, one bone at a time.

Tasty Dog Fundraiser for Irving is Wednesday, March 21

Still seeking a volunteer (or two) for the Tasty Dog Challenge!

The Tasty Dog Challenge fundraiser for Irving is Wednesday, March 21, and we need a volunteer to get the word out to Irving families when the date gets closer.

For those who don’t know: Every year TD holds a fundraiser for D97 schools where each school gets a day, and a percentage of the profits that day go to the school’s PTO. There is also a raffle, in which the tickets are $1 each and the Irving PTO gets to keep *all* of the money. Prizes include Bulls tickets, Wolves tickets, hot-air balloon rides, and other cool stuff.

Last year, we raised nearly $600 from food purchases that day, and another $600+ from raffle tickets. A few Irving families won prizes too! The fundraiser is for the whole day, but most Irving families showed up for dinner and it was a really fun evening.

Duties include sending flyers home with students and posting them on the school doors, getting messages into the Irving Update and other email communications, and coordinating raffle ticket sales. I did this fundraiser last year so I can email you my files, including the flyers we used, so it shouldn’t be a lot of work–especially compared to the amount of money we can raise! Get a friend to share the work and it really won’t be much effort at all. 🙂

If you’d like to help out the school by overseeing the Tasty Dog Fundraiser on March 21, please let me know. Thanks!  Julie Chyna <chyna823@gmail.com>

Fun Fair Committee needs items for Bingo Prizes.

House Cleaning?

The Fun Fair Committee is looking for new items to be used for Bingo Prizes. Small Items such as fast food toys, party favors, noise makers, promotional items, small books/coloring books, new items laying around the house that are not being used by your children would be perfect Bingo Prizes. If you are unsure about a specific item or have items to donate – send me an email or call me. Also if you have, or know someone that has a business that would like to donate a prize for the Raffle or Grand Prize drawing, we are looking for those items as well.

Anything from small to large electronics items to Gift Certificates would be tremendous and they will receive heaps of exposure and gratitude from the Irving School Family.
