News from D97

Proposed Sharing of Administrative Facilities
On September 10, 2012, District 97 and the Park District of Oak Park presented a proposal to the Village of Oak Park regarding the possibility of the three governing bodies sharing administrative facilities. Please click here for a pdf of the presentation and click here for the video of the presentation. Following the presentation, the Village Board gave its consensus for District 97 and the Park District to continue exploring the concept of sharing facilities and to engage the Village in discussions about the possibility of constructing a new building on the parking lot south of Village Hall.

In the meantime, there has been a Web site created so community members can stay informed about the project, get updates about its status and offer their feedback regarding the proposal. Please click here to access the site. There will also be a community forum about the proposed sharing of administrative facilities that will be held on September 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall. Please click here for a flyer about this event.
