New Families

Fun Fair this Saturday

Saturday is the DAY!

Come one, come all to the Fun Fair, and in between carnival games and snacks, don’t forget to stop by the silent auction and raffle area on the Irving “porch” outside the main office doors!

In this exciting corner, you can bid on a chance to be principal or teacher or librarian for a day, hit the museums with Mr. Packer, do nails with Ms. Gibson, or golf with Mr. Daniel. You can have lunch at Pete’s with Ms. Blackney or have Mr. Blecha come to your house to read bedtime stories!

And while you’re at it, why not take home a basket filled with the best Candycopia has to offer (plus a toothbrush!), everything you need for family game night, an instant Mexican fiesta, Squishmallows galore, or bubbles for your bath and your glass?

Some of these items you can bid on in the silent auction, some will be for raffle, and for some of the teacher parties, all you have to do is sign up. Oh – and you can help decide which Irving staffer gets a pie in the face at 3:30 too!

Cash or online payment via the PTO website will be accepted for baskets. Tickets are cash only and available for purchase this week and at the fair.

Irving’s Got Talent show begins at 1pm, followed by the Fun Fair at 2pm and a sensory hour at 4pm. See you on Saturday!

PS! We could use a few more 4th and 5th grade student volunteers – please sign up if you can!

Register for Irving’s Got Talent

We’re bringing back a very old Irving Tradition – a Talent Showcase!

The talent show is open to the entire Irving community and will be on April 15 at 1 p.m., right before the Irving Fun Fair. The goal is to raise funds for a new sound system for the Auditorium.

Get your act ready and let us know you want to participate by submitting this form. We are limited by time for the showcase, so please submit your registration by March 10!

Irving Loved Ones Dance

Please join us for this WHOLE FAMILY event at the school gym! All Irving students, staff and their families are invited. As this is an event meant for the whole family, all kids will need a parent or guardian with them. And even though it’s a free event, we need every person attending to reserve a ticket so we can plan food, drinks and space accordingly. It’s going to be tons of fun and we can’t wait to see you there!

Reserve your free tickets here:

We could use your help!
Sign up to volunteer at the dance or to donate some needed supplies/refreshments!

PTO Meeting this Thursday

Please join us for our next PTO Meeting at 7pm on Thursday, March 2. We will be seeking several new PTO volunteers for the 2023-2024 school year, so please come and ask all your questions about what each of the open roles might involve! All new & returning students’ parents or guardians are welcome and encouraged to join, as ALL Irving families are a part of the Irving PTO! Join us in person in the school library (childcare will be provided) or virtually via zoom.
