FUN RUN Final Results!

Last month’s Fun Run raised $10,381.54 for school activities this year!

Prizes are as follows:
– Students that raised $30 or more will receive a School Spirit Store gift certificate. Teachers will hand these out over the next few weeks.
– The top 5 pledging students in the school received a free lunch gift certificate….
– The top pledging student in each classroom will get to be the PE teacher for one class. Mr. Hancock will tell each class who that is in PE.
– The classroom that raised the most money was Ms Kekatos’ class and they received a Recess Pack with super fun stuff and the awesome new trophy!

The PTO sends a huge THANK YOU to all students and teachers for helping raise so much money for our school while having fun and being healthy!

Irving School Alumni in Julian’s Fall Musical

Julian Middle School’s CAST program will perform its fall musical, Once on This Island, at 7:30 p.m. on November 14th and 15th and at 2 p.m. on November 16th.  Join us on Saturday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m. for the pre-show Taco dinner and receive priority seating!  Tickets to both can be found here:
Once on This Island is a calypso-flavored re-telling of The Little Mermaid and will feature lively song-and-dance numbers, a performance by the Julian Choir, and live drumming by Jean-Christophe Leroy, a versatile percussionist/drummer who specializes in Cuban, West African, Brazilian and other Afro-Caribbean styles of music.

Once on This Island, which was written by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (the team also responsible for Seussical and Ragtime), delivers melody, love and joy in tropical abundance.

Trivia Night 2014 at the Wire

ARE YOU READY?!?!

Trivia Night 2014 is right around the corner. It is not too late to register!   We are still creating teams so sign up as couples, individuals or just come and enjoy the fun!

This is an event you don’t want to miss!

The doors will open at 6:00 (in case you would like to scope out the perfect table spot).  Cash bar will be available between 6:00 and 7 pm.

Valet parking will be available.

Open Bar for assorted beer, wine and Soda will run from 7-10 pm.

Be prepared for a Mexican Feast, provided by local favorite Taco Yo.  Menu will include: Mini Burritos (Steak, Chicken, Veggie and Pork), Mini Flautas (Chicken and Steak), Quesadillas* (Cheese and Chicken), Tamales (Pork and Veggie), Rice, Salad, Chips, Salsas & Guacamole.  Dessert to follow: Flan and Platano Frito. (* denotes made with corn tortillas)

This year, in addition to fun, food and trivia, please come prepared to participate in the numerous raffle opportunities!  We will once again have a “Split the Pot” raffle.  Tickets will be on sale from 7-8 pm and again from 9:30-10 pm. Tickets will be $1 for 1, $5 for 6 and $20 for your wingspan!

Table raffles will be happening throughout the evening. $10 per entry enters your entire table to win a prize.  Increase your chances of winning by entering up to 6 times per raffle round!

Last, but certainly not least, enter to win 2 Tickets to a Blackhawks Game.  Raffle Tickets will be on sale between 8 – 10 pm.  Raffle tickets cost $10 for 1 and $20 for 3.
