PTO Meeting – Thursday, October 4th

We hope you can join us for the October PTO meeting, which is this week on Thursday, October 4 at 6:30 in the Library/Media Center on the second floor. As always, free child care is provided.

Irving Paces This Fall

Irving Pacers is an optional recess activity offered on Fridays. Students who chose to participate will walk around the block. They will each carry a punch card that records their laps. They get a foot charm for every mile (3 laps) they complete. We need volunteers to supervise the corners around the building, assist students with bracelets, punch cards and give out water. This is a very popular activity so we get a lot of student participation. Contact Hannah O’Connor: hanoconnor@gmail.com

Iman Shumpert Youth Basketball Camp

We are proud to announce that OPRF Alumni and New York Knicks NBA First Team All-Rookie IMAN SHUMPERT is returning to Oak Park to host his Youth Basketball Camp this June 22-24.  Sign up soon as space is limited.

IMAN SHUMPERT YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMP

DATES:  Three (3) Days – Friday, June 22, Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24

TIMES:  9am – 4pm Daily

LOCATION:  Oak Park River Forest High School (OPRF)- 201 North Scoville Avenue  Oak Park, IL 60302

CAMPERS:  Boys and Girls – going into 5th through 8th grades

CAMPERS RECEIVE:

Participants will each receive lunch each day, a T-shirt, camp branded reversible pinnie for games, individual photo with Shumpert, awards and instruction from some of the top coaches in the region.  They will take part in lectures, basketball drill stations, player evaluations, 5 on 5 games, basketball contests and educational sessions.

FEE:  $175 per camper

PROCEEDS:

Iman Shumpert’s proceeds from the camp will be donated to schools and charitable organizations that service the Oak Park Community.
