Still picking up school supplies? Buy a 5 pack but only need 3? Please consider donating extra school supplies for kids who need them. Bring any items to the front office when you can, even after school starts. They will be greatly appreciated.

School Supplies Update – Oak Park Public Library (OPPL) card
- Access to all OPPL’s FREE databases for research and homework help. This is especially important in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade as students begin doing more in-class research.
- A great way to find books that Irving may not have. We work with OPPL to suggest books and series that students will enjoy.
- Access to multiple copies of books that numerous students are reading. This is especially helpful for Monarch, Bluestem, Rebecca Caudill and Reading Olympics books.
- Access to ebooks including Kindle, Nook, etc.
- OPPL does fantastic programming for students of all ages including story times, crafts, movies, games, book discussions, etc. It’s a great community to be involved in!

Washington Irving School Supply List for the 2012-2013 School Year
This is a general list of supplies that your child will need for school.
Each grade level specifies supplies that will be needed.
Other items may be added once the school year is in session.
Please continue to replenish school supplies every three months.
Last Day of School Fun Stuff:
8am, after you drop off the kids, grab a cup of coffee and a donut from one of the PTO tables (1 in front, 1 in back). Feel free to hang out for a bit, or just run to work. (If nobody is at the table that moment, help yourself. We’re just still dropping off our own kids!)
2:20/2:30ish: Staff dance is on the blacktop. Don’t forget your camera!
5-7pm: End of Year Party is at Barrie Park! DJ, pizza, fun! In case of rain, we will let you know at 3pm if plans change. Unless it’s pouring horribly, consider the party on!
Plus, whatever the teachers have planned for your class!
