Loved Ones Dance 2024

SIGN UP LINK

Our Groovy 70s Dance is coming up! 2/23 at 6:30 PM

This is a fully FREE event this year. That means not only is there no admission cost, but snacks, drinks and other fun things will be provided by the PTO.

In order to keep this event free we really need volunteers during the event as well as refreshment donations. Please check out the Sign Up Genius and help where you can. We need adult monitors at the door, in the Lunch Room, and the Gym and we also would love a few 5th grade helpers. See available slots here: https://www.signupgenius.com/…/409084EABA729ABFD0…

Taste of Irving 2024

Friday. January 26th. Taste of Irving Signup: HERE

The Taste of Irving is a longstanding tradition at Irving Elementary that brings together our community and inspires us to be more inclusive. The Taste of Irving is a celebration of cultural heritage through food, traditions, and togetherness. It serves as an opportunity to showcase our diverse community and talents.

What can families expect at Taste of Irving? Food!…and fun. As families arrive, they will be able to select from provided potluck items (allergies labeled) and a diverse array of cuisine from local restaurants. Oak Park has much to offer and our team has designed a plentiful menu for the evening. We want to take this opportunity to remind families that they should feel no pressure to bring anything to share, but if you feel inspired, please sign up below. Otherwise, just come and dine! This event is free and open to all. See you Friday. January 26th.

The World Language Program is sponsored by the PTO, endorsed by the School Board, and encouraged by the staff and principal of Irving School. WLP is completely independent, funded solely by tuition paid by families of participating children.

WLP will run for 10 weeks from February 5 through April 19.

The fee for WLP will be $115 for one child, $210 for 2 children or 2 languages.

If you have any questions, please email us at IrvingWorldLP@gmail.com.

  • Scholarships are available! If your child qualifies for free/reduced lunch you are eligible for one scholarship per session per child.  If your child does not currently qualify for free/reduced lunch, but you have a financial hardship making it difficult to pay for a class, there are additional funds available for these circumstances as well.
    • Free/Reduced Lunch: If you already have qualified for free/reduced lunch, you will receive an email from Ms. Mura with a list of codes that will enable you to sign up for a class for free. While these codes you receive will work on all classes, your student is only eligible for one class per session. If you have more than one student at Irving, each student is eligible for one class per session. Please do not use the codes to enroll in more than one class per session. You will be asked to pay for additional classes.
    • Not qualified for Free/Reduced Lunch, but have a financial hardship? If you are in need of financial help and are not currently qualified for free/reduced lunch, please email Ms. Mura, smura@op97.org, requesting a scholarship so she can get you the assistance needed to register your child.

We do have a registration minimum and some classes may not run if the number is not met.  All classes will meet for an hour once a week (after school classes will start approx. 5-10 minutes after dismissal). *Depending on enrollment, some languages may not be available for all grades.
