Irving Book Fair Volunteers Needed

Irving Book Fair  April 2529–Volunteers needed!

It’s Book Fair time again!  We’ve got a ton of teachers and students, so we need lots of help. We need help setting up the fair, helping with classroom visits, working during sales hours, and tearing down the fair.

Volunteer spots for 5th graders after school are listed under “Student Helper(s).” Please put your student’s name in the note.

Your kids are welcome to come along.  We are also looking for volunteers to supervise our kids on the playground for about 45 minutes after dismissal while things are hectic in the auditorium.

If you can’t do any of those things, but would like to help by making decorations or making teacher treats for their book fair preview, please email gremlin44@gmail.com

Volunteers Needed for Coin Challenge

The Book Fair’s coin collection challenge is coming up April 18-21, and we need volunteers to help count the change! Counting will take place at my house Mon April 18- Thu April 21 at about 9:15 a.m. Any and all help is wonderful, whether you can stay for 30 minutes or 2 hours. Treats will be provided. I do have cats, and if you need to bring a little one along and let them play in my living room that’s fine. Head over to the Signup Genius and sign up for a book fair shift while you are there.

Irving Book Fair’s 3rd Annual Classroom Coin Challenge

It’s time to start looking under your couch cushions!

Irving Book Fair’s 3rd Annual Classroom Coin Challenge

Monday, April 18 – Thursday, April 21

Bring your loose change to your class April 18-21 and compete to see which homeroom can raise the most money!  The winning class will get to come to the Book Fair with their teacher the week of April 25th and use some of the funds raised to pick out books for their class, make some suggestions to Ms. Noonan for books for her to pick out for our library, and pick out books to donate to Parenthesis Family Center.

Scholastic Books will match our monetary donation by giving books to two non-profit organizations, Kids in Need Foundation and Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc.

Please be sure not to send in foreign coins or game tokens.
