The American Society of Civil Engineers is launching a new program during Engineers Week (February 17-25, 2017) titled “Dream Big”.  The program is an effort to promote the engineering profession among K-12 students and its centerpiece will be an IMAX movie titled “Dream Big:Engineering our World.”  For more information that includes trailers for the movie as well as screening locations, visit:  www.asce.org/dream-big/.

For Irving PTO’s 2nd annual volunteer appreciation event on February 11 from 9-11 am in the Irving gym!  Irving’s own Amy Dean will lead us in a free, stress-reducing, one-hour yoga class after which we’ll stick around for coffee, a light breakfast, and information about volunteering at Irving.  All Irving community members are welcome, from teachers, to volunteers, to volunteer supporters, to anyone who wants to learn more about volunteering at our school!  We hope you’ll join us, and bring a friend!
