Irving Online Book Fair

We just wanted to thank everyone on behalf of the Irving Book Fair! Over 96 books were purchased from our teachers’ wish lists to help expand their classroom libraries.
The physical book sale is over, but our online Irving Book Fair continues until May 8th with a much larger catalog of books to choose from!  All books will be shipped free of charge to the school when the sale is done, and we will deliver them to the classrooms. If you missed out on grabbing a copy of Ranger In Time, Plants Vs Zombies Timepocalypse, or The Day the Crayons Quit when we ran out, here’s your chance to get one. It’s also a great way to get some end of the year teacher gifts.  Profits from the online sale get added to our physical sale’s total, allowing us to get some growth bonuses and earn more money for our library!

Art Fest and Digital Art Coming Soon!

ATTENTION ALL TECHNOLOGY ENTHUSIASTS 

New to Irving’s Art Fest will be projects/pictures/videos created using technology

Please submit your technology art to Mr. Degman by May 8th.

Some ideas for what can be submitted:

  • Pictures created using Explain Everything, Sketchpad or any other app
  • Videos created using iMovie or Explain Everything
  • Photographs

OPEF VEX Workshops for Girls

OPEF VEX Workshops for Girls (5th-8th) – May 12 or May 13
Percy Julian Middle School – 3:45-5:15 pm
Girls will work in small teams in our robotics lab to design and build a remote-controlled robot and play an exciting game with the bot.
